要使 exOS 系统正常运行，必须在 Automation Studio 中安装 exOS 技术软件包。exOS 技术包会自动管理 PLC 上运行的组件的安装和配置。它还负责在 Linux 端部署最新的 exOS 组件。

For a working exOS system, it is required to install the exOS Technology Package into Automation Studio. The exOS Technology Package automatically manages the installation and configuration of the components running on the PLC. It is also responsible for the deployment of the latest exOS components on the Linux side.

In order to use a Linux system as an exOS deployment target, the exOS server needs to be running on that system. This exOS server can either be pre-installed (e.g. by adding the server component to the Linux base image) or needs to be installed manually. As soon as an exOS server >= 2.0.0 is present on the target system, the Technology Package will take care of automatically updating the server to a new version if necessary.
