exOS automatically handles the software transfer to and the management on the Linux target system. This means, it is possible to deploy and run Linux software without being a Linux programmer or having to log into a Linux system to do so.
exOS is therefore in charge of transferring the necessary files to Linux and installing those files on that system. In case an exOS Component has been updated or removed from the Automation Studio project configuration, the required actions are also taken on the target system to update or remove the according files. So any change in the Automation Studio project is automatically reflected on the target - in the same way as IEC libraries or tasks are deployed and managed on the PLC.
